Account Progression
Purpose. These settings make your Medtax profile clear: what your service covers, how your documents are protected, and how to pause or resume. By automating service coverage, we set clearer lines of support and avoid confusion, and keep everything aligned with your tax plan. Below is what happens if a payment is missed, and how long you have to come back.
If a payment is not made by its due date, your account moves through varying stages. At any point, you can always resume your services. However, please note that tax filing during these phases is not supported, so it's important to talk to your account manager for any clarification, to ensure your tax profile is properly protected. Here's what each stage means:
Important things to keep in mind
As long as you have an active COR, the BIR requires you to file, regardless of your income. If you expect no income for an extended period, it is best either to close your BIR registration or to keep filing. This often applies to doctors on residency, fellowship, or a long hiatus. Medtax offers dedicated support if this is you, so please talk to your account manager.
From the limited support phase onward, tax filing is on hold, so please make sure your BIR deadlines are covered in the meantime. If you think your situation should be an exception, please talk to your account manager.
You can resume your services at any time. During the limited support phase, services are partially available, which is why resuming then keeps your original billing schedule. Once the account has paused or archived, services are off, so your reinstatement date becomes your new billing start date.
