Hi Doc, we're rolling out Version 4.1. Before we get into it, here's a quick recap of Version 4.0, what changed and why, plus answers to the questions we hear most, and the bugs we're fixing next.

Version 4.0 FAQs
Why the change?
Version 4.0 lays the groundwork for a bigger, automated, AI ready system that is more compliant with BIR requirements. It is a significant departure from the old system. The changes are mostly under the hood, not cosmetic.
How does document scanning work?
When you upload a document, our AI reads it. If it is confident, it validates the document automatically, records it in your books, and updates your totals. If it is not confident, it flags it for a person to check. The model is new. It is smarter than most but still young, and it keeps getting better over time.
Do I have to validate documents myself?
No. Validation is your choice, and sorry if that was not clear. Here is how it works, either way.
Upload your documents and leave the rest to us. It may take a few days at the moment, but we will validate them, then they flow into your books and totals.
Prefer to be sure of your own numbers? Validate them yourself and they post to your books and totals right away, no waiting. Several clients asked for this.
Why does the interface look different?
The new interface is built for function first, not looks. We know it can feel like a lot, and we are actively working to simplify it. Suggestions are welcome. We will be opening a suggestion and feature request box soon.
Bugs we're fixing
Yes, we're on them, and we are faster at this now than before. Most of what we cleared in 4.0 was under the hood. In 4.1 we are clearing more of the client facing ones. Please give us a week or two. Here is what we are fixing.
Uploading & verifying documents
We found bugs in how documents are uploaded and verified:
- attaching a file sometimes fails
- some service invoices and 2307s can't be verified
- details from scanned 2307s and invoices don't always fill in automatically
We're aware of each of these and actively fixing them.
Migration
Some files and data are still being migrated, in some cases manually. Until that is finished, you may see records that are missing or don't yet match the old system, for example an invoice that hasn't appeared yet, or books that don't fully reconcile. We know about this and are working through it.
Mobile app & sign in
We found bugs in the mobile app: opening previously uploaded documents doesn't always work, and sign in can be inconsistent. We're aware of both and fixing them.
We're fixing bugs faster than ever now, and we expect to clear out most if not all of what's on the table within the week. Thank you for your patience while we get this right. If something ever feels off, just tell your account manager. We're listening, and we're glad you're with us.
